It was a Sullivan signing...he'd been lining Wilshere up for at least 18 months - long before he had even approached MP

Re: Wilshere Off... MLS...???
It just screams of....

"If this don't workout Pell 'ol son you'll have to take the flack for it, as we've done this this under funding to all our managers and we need the fans to think it's not to do with us when you have no choice but to fill the squad with crocks and has beens"

....the worst thing that happened to West Ham was Birmingham signing Dugarry who was a relative success for them.

The board can't have been that opposed to the deal. After all, it is then what sign the cheques.

Re: Wilshere Off... MLS...???
See this is where the board is mugging us off, they may have been against it but what made the manager so desperate to sign a crocked player that may come good and has PL experience?

Lack of proper squad investment is what made this signing necessary.

Re: Wilshere Off... MLS...???
Couldn't give a fuck where he goes as long as he goes, along with Caroll he's fucking stealing a living here.

Disgraceful decision to sign him on a Three year deal.

I bet Maddison is on less at Leicester.

Re: Wilshere Off... MLS...???
So I notice Thierry Henry has been appointed head coach of the Montreal Impact.

Wilshere was with Arsenal first team when Henry came back on loan from the New York Red Bulls for those 4 games in 2012. (Though Wilshere was injured the whole season)

But maybe they became fast friends at a team meeting and want to work together in la belle province.

It could have happened...

Apologies to Sullivan...
It was Pellegriniwho insisted on a 3 year contract for Wilshere...
Idiot... obviously no research on his medical history...

Re: Wilshere Off... MLS...???
It's a nothing story, but sadly it would make sense. His name and prior prospect are all he really has left.

He will probably consider this after he has raped us for another 18 months.

Re: Wilshere Off... MLS...???
Considering Pellegrini's best PL moments have been due to excellent funding from the owners who properly invest in the entertainment side of the sport, I doubt this was his 1st method of building a squad.

I've noticed successive West Ham managers get to sign ONE key signing per summer window and then have to scrap around to patch up what's left of the squad with Wilshere types or young or ageing foreign players with potential or on their last hurrah or worse still like Wilshere......coming back from constant injury.

Mulling this move is he? I bet he fucking is. Probably amazed that another club may potentially be stupid enough to take him on. Good riddance.

Re: Wilshere Off... MLS...???
There are just no words to describe the stupidity of this signing.
It set off alarms bells loud and clear about Pellegrini though.

Re: Wilshere Off... MLS...???
You have to laugh really we didn't have to fend off loads of club's to get the signing.
Only at West ham would you get rid of one Ponce then immediately take on an extra from Casualty.
On £100,000 a week for three years if anyone of us had made a decision like that you'd be out on your arse in no time.

i meant add 6 mill for signing on fee.

Re: Wilshere Off... MLS...???
if you d the maths:

100k a week for 3 years = 15.6m
Signing on fee = think it was 21m

another 21m down he karzi! I wonder if they have some super dodgy insurance policy that covers cost of injured players?

Re: Wilshere Off... MLS...???
Not deemed good enough for a new contract at Arsenal, not thought good enough by Southgate for the World Cup squad, not thought good enough by Eddie Howe at Bournemouth!

But thought good enough by someone at West Ham, in a well run plc that someone would have to answer some serious questions! Next level, my arse.

*Good signing

Although 'goof' signing is much more apt!

Eddie B 9:50 Fri Nov 15

Well, not in hindsight. You say he was always going to be injured but, let's be totally honest, we knew there was a good chance of that but you never really knew. It had the potential to be a very shrewd signing. Even some of my Gooner and Spurs fans said it could be a goof signing....."If he stays fit".

And that was the gamble.

I fully agree with everyone that says the wages and length of contract are the part that was totally wrong. Bloody stupid if you ask me.
